![]() ☀️Sunshine sparkled through my office window casting a beautiful glow on a glass of lemon water. Sitting next to it a snake plant in it’s crisp white pot, just reaching for that light. As I stared at those two things I thought, our needs are pretty simple aren’t they... so why does life too often seem so darn complicated? 🤔I wonder if we’re making it harder on ourselves than what it needs to be. Creating work just so we can stay *busy* because we think it dictates our value {which has become an American badge of honor, but I’ll visit that another time}. Or we amass more (& more) to content ourselves, then become overwhelmed by the visual stimulation and time & energy needed for maintenance. Needing to feel contentment again, we reach out for more stuff... or we busy ourselves as a distraction... and so the cycle continues. 😓The entire situation is exhausting, isn’t it?

We all could use a little habit change help! #ChangeYourHabitsChangeYourLife ![]() Last week I introduced the Habit Change Series, and we talked about how making small changes is the secret to making lasting habit change! If you can make achievable changes, consistently over time, I promise they will add up to big results! This week we’re going to get into our first “Small Change”. Have you thought about what change you’d like to make? Bring that to mind and think of it as you apply this first change to your situation. Ready for this week’s Small Change?? {Of course you are!} It’s Perspective Shift! What? Yep… that’s it. Perspective Shift simply means looking at your situation differently. Here’s how it plays out… ![]() My front window is forever smudged with fingerprints because the kids *love* looking out at the squirrels and birds playing in our yard, the cars (broom-brooms) driving by, and at the farm across the road (trust me, when you’re 1, the cows are highly entertaining). I clean it (occasionally; have I mentioned the 3 kids?)… but it never stays clean for long. Even though the “circumstances” aren’t perfect I still enjoy looking through it… and appreciating the view outside (like this beautiful sunrise). What a missed opportunity it would be to only see the smudges (and yes, I know there are a lot of them). Today, I invite you to look past your circumstances to appreciate the beauty around you - whatever that looks like for you… your family, friends, health, anything, even your actual view. Leave me a comment & share what you’re grateful for, even if there is a *smudge*… maybe more importantly, because there IS a smudge - all the more reason to find the beauty. ![]() Could you use more happiness in your life? Abundance? Positivity? Gratitude? I’m guessing you said yes, because really, couldn’t we all? Here’s a little secret… where your thoughts go your energy flows. This means, whatever you focus on, you get more of. That can be a good or a bad thing, depending on where you’re focusing your attention. There’s one simple question that you can ask yourself to come into a state of positivity… that question is: “What’s Going Well?” Sounds easy, doesn’t it? It really is. But just because it’s easy doesn’t mean it’s not powerful! I break it down for you more in today’s video and give you some ideas on how to stay in this state to increase your happiness, creativity, and ability to learn & grow! ![]() The entire idea of living intentionally can be prefaced with that one question. I invite you to pause for a moment to consider it. What would you do if you were the bravest version of yourself living into your highest purpose? After all, you were put here on purpose for a purpose. Would you make better choices about what goes into (and onto) your body? Would you make purposeful movement an important part of your daily routine? Would you have a different relationship with your husband or children or friends? Would you pursue a new career? Would you finally take actions towards a long held dream? Maybe you’d simply put yourself on the list of priorities for once. Or perhaps it’s something else entirely. What sets your soul on fire? I believe when you allow yourself to answer these questions honestly and then make small changes daily towards creating your best life, you will find a new rhythm to your days… this thing called life will be a more positive and fulfilling experience. Your daily routine won’t seem quite so mundane anymore. You’ll begin to see things open up for you that you never imagined possible. That’s what intentional living is for me.
