Living With Less - Easy Habit Change Tips

Habit change tips - comin’ at ya!


Trying to create change in your life? Working towards something better? Habits can be hard to change, but it’s certainly possible to do. Try focusing on just one small piece at a time.

Over and over you need to choose this new habit (over whatever old habit it’s replacing), until you no longer have to think about it... it just becomes what you do.


{Keep reading to find out how you can apply this to living with less!}

Help yourself along in the process by using outside reminders that are linked to your inside motivating factors. For example, if you’re trying to live with less but you find yourself shopping on Amazon a bit too often, try using a pop-up reminder throughout the day on your phone or a post-it on your computer that reminds you of why you want to live with less.

Here are 3 examples:
  1. I love my home, it’s a calm and peaceful haven that promotes life (not depletes it).
  2. The less I have, the less I have to maintain - giving me more time to fully engage with and enjoy my life and the people in it.
  3. I have enough, I do enough, I am enough.

Take this habit change one step further by make it harder to give into your old habits, using this same scenario here are 2 examples of how to carry this out:
  1. Don’t stay logged into your account
  2. Delete the app on your phone or block the website​

You can do it!  Whatever change you’re trying to achieve, repeatedly reminding yourself of *why* you’re truly doing it pays off!
